So.  Right.  Where were we?

After my brief stint with sample knitting, and my adventure of the sweater that cannot be shown here, I am back to my True Love, Minx.

You last saw her as a pretty little skein of Indigodragonfly Merino Silk 4-ply (yum), but in the last few weeks she has become this:

I have strong hope, nay, ambition to finish off the front tomorrow, and put another notch in sweater-knitting belt.  I have another bag of pretty yarn from Kim that is destined for something special in June…. (yay!)

I’m particularly excited to wear Minx, as I picked up a cute lightweight jacket to layer with it.  MOREOVER (and this is the exciting part) because it was a little loose around the chest (ahem, small bust, I’m looking at you) I pulled out my decrepit sewing machine and executed some McGyver-style alterations.  McGyver-style, because I have no formal sewing training, and basically just winged it.

It’s amazing that a few nips and tucks made all the difference in fit, and I’m not gonna lie, I felt like a rock star when it worked.

I’ll be showing off the jacket and Minx over the next week, so stay tuned!
